Sustainable Solutions Joins Two Leading Innovation Networks

Sustainable Solutions IR Ltd is pleased to announce its membership of two leading industry networks: Scottish Ocean Cluster and the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre.

These memberships mark an important step in strengthening our connection with Scotland’s aquaculture, seafood and biotechnology sectors, helping us work more closely with the organisations, specialists and innovators shaping the future of sustainable resource recovery.

Scottish Ocean Cluster brings together stakeholders committed to maximising the value created by Scotland’s seafood industry. The initiative connects producers, processors, entrepreneurs, investors, biotech companies, educators, researchers, retailers, government bodies and more, with a shared focus on unlocking greater value from fish and seafood by-products.

For Sustainable Solutions, this aligns strongly with our work in on-site wastewater treatment, organic waste recovery and circular resource management. By engaging with the Cluster, we can better understand the real operational challenges faced across aquaculture and seafood processing, while contributing practical thinking around how difficult waste streams can be treated, separated and recovered more effectively.

Our membership of IBioIC also connects Sustainable Solutions with a wider network of industrial biotechnology expertise across Scotland, the UK and Europe. IBioIC supports innovation by connecting industry, academia and government, while providing access to knowledge, talent, funding support and scale-up facilities.

Industrial biotechnology has an important role to play in creating more sustainable alternatives to traditional processes, using plant-based, marine, agricultural and waste-derived resources to produce materials, chemicals, energy and other valuable products. This focus closely reflects our own ambition to help customers move away from waste disposal and towards resource recovery.

By joining Scottish Ocean Cluster and IBioIC, Sustainable Solutions can work more closely with the specialists, experts, leaders and influencers driving change in these sectors. More importantly, it helps us get closer to the problems industry is facing, so we can continue developing practical solutions that support cleaner operations, lower waste, improved resource use and a more circular economy.

Making Every Drop Count.
